Overview We are seeking a highly organised and technically capable Metered Estates (ME) Technical Support Coordinator to join a regional engineering support team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the effective installation, defect repair, and statutory inspection of metered estates, as well as supporting wider technical engineering projects.
Working closely with planners, engineers, and external suppliers, you will utilise strong coordination, technical understanding, and problem-solving abilities to ensure tasks are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
The ME Technical Support Coordinator will be responsible for:
Operational & Technical Coordination
- Producing requisition sheets and job descriptions for defect remediation and new installations across ME and civil engineering tasks.
- Creating and issuing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) for ME engineering activities.
- Reviewing incoming sites from the sales team, ensuring technical requirements are clear and complete.
- Identifying solutions for complex issues relating to metered estate equipment.
- Ensuring all tasks comply with current regulations and technical standards.
- Liaising with external contractors and local authorities for specialist ME or complex project work.
- Coordinating with the planning team to manage high-risk or technically challenging sites.
- Chairing weekly and ad hoc meetings with internal stakeholders to progress ongoing work.
- Coordinating safety reports raised by engineering teams and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Overseeing the maintenance and calibration of vehicles and equipment, and monitoring tooling/PPE requirements.
- Strong understanding of LPG installations, design layouts, and associated equipment.
- Knowledge of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Experience with workflow management, reporting, and analytics.
- Strong IT skills with the ability to manage data, organise files, and utilise workflow automation tools.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritisation skills, with the ability to remain flexible when priorities shift.

- Strong communication skills, including accurate report writing and confident meeting facilitation.
