NRL are currently recruiting for a professional Security Coordinator to work on a contract basis for one of our leading clients, based at Birchwood Park in Warrington. Initially some regular weekly office working (2-3 days) would be required during training period with remote working also being available around this. Please note this is a contract requirement working 37 hours per week. Contract is initially until the end of the financial year but high possibility of being extended.

Main Purpose
  • Delivery of all aspects of the Nuclear Security Vetting function ensuring it remains compliant with legislation and customer and/or site requirements therefore ensuring that the correct levels of security clearance are monitored and maintained within agreed Service Level periods.
  • Delivery of all aspects of aftercare of security vetting including access/visitor controls, travel advice, renewals, appraisals and other aftercare requirements in line with HMG and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Operational Security Manager in providing advice and support on all matters within Operational Security where required within the Business Unit enabling it to remain compliant with legislation therefore maintaining our regulatory relationships, List X status and protecting commercial interests.
  • Administer security aftercare as described in Civil Nuclear Security Standard 3 to ensure continued ongoing personnel security seeking to reduce the risk of insider activity and protection of the organisations assets.
  • Administer external visits from countries of special interest with the relevant regulatory authorities ensuring that both Cavendish Nuclear and its customer’s information assets are protected in accordance with requirements.
  • Take a proactive approach of security by performing regular data verification checks on all data used within the function to maintain accuracy, using the designated reporting systems therefore providing confidence to our workforce and regulators that data is being processed, stored and handled in an appropriate manner.
  • Responsible for the Security Vetting Database including assistance in the production and maintenance of associated software manuals and access control to the software.
  • Ensure that any security vetting incidents are formally recorded using company systems and providing assistance where required with the investigation of any incidents or breaches.
What You Will Need:
  • Either prior experience within a Vetting team or being in a role that liaises with a Vetting team.
  • Will consider candidates from a HR/recruitment administrative background with some but not extensive knowledge of the vetting/onboarding process
