  • Petrol costs roughly XAF 800 – 900 per litre ($1.30 - $1.50), while diesel costs around XAF 700 – 800 ($1.15 - $1.30). These prices are volatile and can fluctuate depending on regional and international oil markets.

Weather in Chad

Chad has a tropical to desert climate, with temperatures and conditions varying by region. The north is largely desert, experiencing very hot daytime temperatures and cool nights, while the south sees a savannah climate with more seasonal rain. During the summer months, southern regions can reach highs of 30 - 35°C with rainy periods, whereas the dry season brings sunny skies and cooler nights, especially in the north. Winters in central and northern areas may have cooler nights below 15°C, while daytime temperatures remain warm.
