Vehicles drive on the right-hand side of the road in Poland, and you will need a valid driver’s licence to drive legally. EU and EEA licence holders can use their existing licences but may exchange them for a Polish one if they stay longer than six months. Non-EU residents must exchange their foreign licence for a Polish licence within six months of establishing residency. Obtaining a Polish licence requires passing both a theory and practical driving test. It’s important to complete the necessary exchanges or tests promptly to ensure compliance with local driving regulations.
