Croatia offers a high quality of life with a strong café culture, excellent food, historic cities, and access to the Adriatic coast. The cost of living is moderate by EU standards, with higher costs in Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik.

Vehicles drive on the right-hand side of the road. EU driving licences are recognised, while non-EU licence holders may need to exchange their licence or complete a Croatian driving test after a period of residence. 

Weather in Croatia

Croatia has a Mediterranean climate along the coast and a continental climate inland. Summer sees average highs of 26 – 32°C, especially along the Adriatic coast. Winter sees lows of around 5 – 10°C along the coast, while inland temperatures can fall below 0°C. The country enjoys long summers, mild coastal winters, and cold inland conditions, offering seasonal variety depending on region.
